Hyderabad: The GHMC has proposed to build a viewing deck at Durgam Cheruvu, said to be the first of its kind in the country. The platform is inspired from the one at Shilinxia, Pinggu, near Beijing. A senior GHMC official told this newspaper that this would be an extension of the hanging bridge.
The corporation is yet to finalise the designs, and the cost estimates would be prepared only after that. Its construction would be paid from the corporate social responsibility funds of private companies. He said the GHMC had completed the 2.2-km walking and cycling track by the lake and work on another 2.2 km would be completed in a month.
