Aim of BJP, YSRC, TRS is to damage AP: Chandrababu Naidu
Vijayawada: Chief minister and TD national president N Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the joint agenda of the three parties including the BJP, YSRC and TRS was to stop the development of AP. He was speaking to party leaders and cadres at a teleconference, on Friday.
He also said that it was always said that a pre-poll alliance was impossible at the Centre, but “we made it possible and this led to fear in BJP leaders”. He said that was why they were being accused of “conspiracies and machinations”.
Speaking at length about the BJP, TRS and YSRC, he said that there was a fear that AP would surpass Gujarat in development, Mr Chandrasekhar Rao feared that he would not be able to do anything while Jagan’s fear was that TD would become strong. “The people have understood the conspiracies of the three parties, that is why public is supporting TD’s Dharma Poratam. The whole nation knows Jagan’s and Chandrasekhar Rao’s filthy politics, that is why no party has joined them whereas TD was waging Dharma Poratam, and that is why 22 parties are behind it,” he said.
Mr Naidu added, “There is no cooperation from Modi for the releasing of funds, Chandrasekhar Rao will not cooperate in the division of assets and Jagan Mohan Reddy is struggling with cases.”
Speaking about the loss to AP, Mr Naidu said that the aim of the three conspirators was to damage the state. He added that people needed to be educated and motivated so they would teach a lesson to these three parties.
“All committees opposed injustice to AP, so did Parliamentary level committees. The Moily committee questioned about insufficient funds allotted under disaster management, about the reduction of Titli funds to 50 per cent and decided that disaster assistance should increase 15 per cent every year. '400 crore is still pending for Hudhud cyclone disaster. Also, the Centre blocked Dubai’s help for Kerala. The Centre does not fund the states and does not let others help,” he added.
“People won’t accept leaders who leave the party for self-benefit. Two days ago, Avanti took part in the Delhi Dharma Poratam and within a few hours he joined Jagan’s party, surrendering to threats and lobbying. We saw protests in Chirala after Amanchi joining YSRC, people do not welcome selfish politics,” he concluded.
Naidu said, on one side the fight for the State was in Delhi, and on the other hand, development and welfare were in the state. “We have initiated five prestigious programmes: Adarana, Yuvanestham, Annadatha Sukheebhava, NTR Bharosa, Pasupu-Kunkum, all these schemes have to be taken to the people. 2019-24 development plan has been prepared, our goal is to double the development and welfare in AP. We need to be projected as confident and capable leaders,” he said.
