KCR to keep his T-vow, offer gold moustache to the Lord

The Chief Minister promised gold ornaments to various deities if Telangana was achieved.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who promised gold ornaments to various deities in TS and other states, will soon be fulfilling another vow on February 24.

On that day, Mr Rao, accompanied by his family, will offer “bangaru meesalu” (gold moustache) to Lord Veerabhadraswamy of Kuravi, 11 km from Mahbubabad and 70 km from Warangal.

The Chief Minister promised gold ornaments to various deities if Telangana was achieved. After formation of the state, he offered gold ornaments to Bhadrakali temple in Warangal.

“Chief Minister will visit Kuravi on February 24 in fulfilment of vow,” Dornakal MLA Redya Naik said. Mr Naik, accompanied by Mahbubabad former MLA Kavita and others, met the CM and formally invited him to visit the temple.

During his visit to the temple, he will interact with party leaders and workers and also address a public meeting. Recently, he had offered a gold crown to Bhadrakali temple in Warangal. As per the vows, Mr Rao promised gold ornaments worth Rs 5.59 crore from Common Good Fund of the Endowments department.

The ornaments to be offered include gold jewellery to Lord Venkateswara Swamy, Tirumala, golden crown for Bhadrakali Ammavaru, Warangal, bangaru meesalu (gold moustache) for Kuravi Veerabhadra Swamy and Mukku Pudaka (gold nose ring) Kanakadurga Ammavaru of Vijayawada.
