Suicide note puts blame on principal at Silver Jubilee College in Kurnool

Anantapur: Tension prevailed at Silver Jubilee College in Kurnool after a suicide note of student blamed college principal and staff over their harassment.

It may be noted that Suryasai Hari Rao of Tadepalligudem in East Godavari district was studying at Silver Jubilee College in Kurnool and committed suicide after jumping before a speedy train near railway track at Kurnool on Sunday.

He wrote a suicide note against the college principal and other staff over harassment.The student had to attend laboratory at physics department on Sunday.

Sources said the principal and staff noticed that the student was irregular to classes though he was studying third year and spending most of time on mobile phone.

Student unions alleged that Hari Rao took the extreme step because of harassment and pressures by the staff. They staged a protest demanding action against the staff.

His parents lamented that their son had never informed about the situation and harassment. “He was innocent and spoke with us on Saturday night,” Hari Rao’s father Srinivasa Rao said.
