Guntur: NMDC deputy manager Moparthy Venkata Siva Ram Prasad, 57, has gone missing in San Francisco after attending his elder daughter’s marriage there. He went missing just an hour after the marriage on February 13 evening.
Mr Prasad’s brother-in-law Venkateswara Rao said Prasad, hailing from a village near Guntur, had gone to the US on January 13.
His elder daughter Durga, 29, a software professional in Los Angeles, married one Gutta Rajesh, 30, from Hyderabad, who is also a software professional in San Francisco.
Mr Prasad’s younger daughter Jyothi, 25, is studying MS in the US. Mr Rao said the police is searching for Prasad. The cops deployed even helicopters to look for him. The Telugu Association is also helping the search operation, he added.
