KSRTC strike from Wednesday midnight
Thiruvananthapuram: The joint action council of the KSRTC comprising KSRTEA of the CITU, KSTWU of the INTUC, KSTEU of the AITUC and KSTDU has decided to go on an indefinite strike from Wednesday midnight following the failure of the KSRTC to honour the agreement reached during the meeting with Transport Minister A.K. Saseendran on September 30. The minister has convened a meeting on Wednesday to cancel the strike plan.
The minister had assured to revise the duty pattern. He also assured to provide one instalment of six percent of dearness allowance along with the December month's salary. Even though the High Court had given sanction to appoint dismissed empanelled employees on temporary basis, the government has not taken steps for the same, the unions alleged.
