Hyderabad: Senior IAS officer Syed Ali Murtuza Rizvi took charge as secretary to the energy department with full additional charge (FAC) as chairman and managing director (CMD) of TS Transmission Corporation (Transco) and TS Generation Corporation (Genco) here on Friday.
Another IAS officer, Musharraf Ali Faruqui, took charge as CMD of TS Southern Power Distribution Company Limited. After assuming charge, the two officers took part in separate review meetings.
Interacting with officials, Faruqui said the state government would accord top priority to the energy department and asked them to render better services to consumers.
