Kerala: Only 11.7 per cent pass Teacher Eligibility Test

The Kerala Government Education Board has declared the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) results for the year 2018.

Thiruvananthapuram: Only 11.69 percent of the candidates passed Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET). The results are available at ktet.kerala.gov.in website.

Candidates who aim to get employed as teacher in lower, primary and high schools affiliated to state board need to qualify in KTET.

Of the 69985 who wrote the examinations in four categories only 8178 passed the test. As many as 2640 passed Category –I. Pass percentage is 11.92 percent. In Category II 1741 passed the test. Pass percentage is 10.42 percent. In Category III, 2378 passed the examinations with pass percentage being 10.39. In Category IV 1419 passed the examinations, pass percentage being 17.24 percent.

Candidates should meet the cut-off score to qualify for Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET). Those who passed the examination should produce their original documents for verification to the concerned District Educational Officer in order to get the KTET certificate.

Examination for category I and II (Lower Primary Classes and Upper Primary Classes) was conducted on Octo-ber 20. Examination for Category III (High Sch-ool Classes) was conducted on October 21 and Category IV (Language Teachers, Specialist Teachers, and Physical Education Teachers) was conducted on Oct 28.
