Hyderabad: A 17-year-old girl intermediate student of Mattampally Model school, Suryapet, committed suicide in the hostel on Thursday night. The police have registered the case and further investigation is underway. The victim has been identified as C. Neeraja, 17, intermediate student.
According to the police, she was with her friends till 10 pm at night. She spoke to her father in the evening around 7 pm. In the morning her friends realised she was not in bed and informed the police.
and in the morning when some of her friends who want to fresh up tried to open the bathroom door around 7:30 AM on Friday it was latched from inside. The fellow students and roommates opened the door forcefully and found the Neeraja hanging to the ceiling in the bathroom door”.
The Mattampally police have registered the case under section 174 CrPC and further investigation is underway. Meanwhile police shifted the dead to the Huzurnagar Government Hospital for postmortem examination.
