Nellore: Sembcorp Gayatri power complex located in Muthukuru and TP Gudur mandals of Nellore district distributed education kits to 19 government schools located in the neighbouring villages benefiting 1,600 students as part of its CSR Programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Neil McGregor, group president & CEO, Sembcorp Industries, said “Sembcorp is regularly contributing towards improving access to education and supplementing the government’s efforts for empowering children in the surrounding villages.” He said that children are the future of the nation and that education plays an important role in their development. SGPC, as part of its corporate social responsibility programme, has been distributing education kits every year to all the students of state-run schools who were studying in and around villages of the plant.
MD, Sembcorp Gayatri Power Complex, Vipul Tuli, vice-chairman, SGPC, Sandeep Reddy, business head – thermal Raghav Trivedi, site director R.R Pillai, plant managers Alluri Nageswara Rao, Ramesh Raman, CSR Head Sriram Yalamati participated in the programme among others.
