Dr P Narayana wants Amaravati to be world class city

He said tenders were called for work worth Rs 22,000 crore.

Vijayawada: The Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Dr P. Narayana has sought the cooperation from all sections to develop Amaravati as a world class capital. Ministers P. Narayana and Pattipati Pulla Rao inaugurated Amaravati Deep Dive, a two-day workshop in Vijayawada on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the Assembly, High Court and government complex designs were getting finalised while the Assembly designs had been placed in the public domain inviting public suggestions.

He said tenders were called for work worth Rs 22,000 crore. He said trunk infrastructure would be completed in 12 months and added that 1,640 Km roads have to be developed in the capital region. Minister Prattipati Pulla Rao said the Chief Minister is keen on developing Amaravati as a world class capital. Amaravati Development Corporation Chairman Mr Lakshmi Parthasarathi said the road infrastructure in the capital would be completed in a year.

Farmers are first partners of the innovative development of Amaravati capital, said Capital Region Development Authority Commissioner Mr Sreedhar. Presenting the status report on Amaravati capital development, the Commissioner said that the CRDA will finish in 1080 days.
