Jagga Reddy applies for Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief post

Hyderabad: Congress MLA T. Jayaprakash ‘Jagga’ Reddy has applied for the post of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president. He has sent his biodata to the party high command with a request to be considered for the top job in the state Congress.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Mr Jayaprakash Reddy said that he had told the high command that he should be given a chance whenever the incumbent N. Uttam Kumar Reddy quits the post. He said he had sent his biodata to all top leaders ahead of the party’s meeting on November 16.

He would bring the Congress to power if he was given the post. “I have wonderful medicine to bring the Congress to power; I will reveal this when it is necessary,” he said.

Mr Reddy said his father worked with the Jan Sangh and his mother in the Congress. I have worked in the BJP, TRS and the Congress, I know how to face the BJP and the TRS because I have worked in these parties,” he said. He said he had not hidden anything in his biodata.
