New Delhi: The International Film Festival of India (Iffi) anthem, seeking inspiration from the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of achieving ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ was unveiled in the national capital.

The anthem, inspired by the nine ‘rasas’ of Natya Shashtra, amalgamates scenes from popular films and dance ‘mudras’ and was developed by dancer Geeta Chandran and Grammy Award winning musician Ricky Cage.

A radio jingle was also be released to mark Iffi Golden Jubilee celebration by Union information and broadcasting secretary Amit Khare. Iffi is scheduled to be held in Goa from November 20 to 28. The anthem, released as part of the celebration of 50th year of Iffi, features clips from festival films which have had a positive social impact and projects the sentiment behind ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,’ sources added.

The preparations for the Golden Jubilee version of the festival are being undertaken under the guidance of Union I&B minister Prakash Javadekar.

The minister has held several rounds of meetings for holding a seamless event, sources added. At the Golden Jubilee edition of Iffi, the government will also confer actor-turned-politican Rajinikanth with the Icon of Golden Jubilee
