Transport minister Thomas Chandy will step down If CM asks so'

The minister told mediapersons that he would quit if anything adverse against him formed part of the high court verdict.

Thiruvananthapuram: Transport Minister Thomas Chandy said he will step down if chief minister asks him to do so. Soon after arriving here on Tuesday night, the minister said that even if he were to resign, he would return to Cabinet hundred times more powerful once the case gets over.

Prior to leaving for Thiruvananthapuram, the minister told mediapersons that he would quit if anything adverse against him formed part of the high court verdict. However, on reaching Capital he changed his stand. “If there are adverse remarks against me in the verdict, then I will approach Supreme Court to seek justice. Otherwise also I will ask the CM about what needs to be done.”
