Hyderabad: A day after the video of an assistant sub-inspector Mohammad Hasan from the Armed Reserve Headquarters taking massage from a woman home guard went viral, he was suspended from duty on Tuesday. Inspector general of police, west zone, Stephen Ravindra, issued the suspension orders.
Meanwhile, police of Jogulamba Gadwala district stated that the video of the ASI and the homeguard was captured four months ago.
“Since the behaviour of ASI Hasan is against the principles of the police department, as per disciplinary action, he is suspended from duties,” said Mr A. Vijay Kumar, district SP in an official press release.
In the videos which were circulated on social media on Monday, assistant sub- inspector Hasan, posted with the Armed Reserve Unit at the district headquarters, was seen taking a massage from a woman home guard in the men’s barracks. The video attracted criticism from citizens.
