CM Pinarayi Vijayan will take appropriate action: Kanam Rajendran
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran said on Tuesday that the court observation regarding lack of collective responsibility in the ministry was serious. He said the inappropriateness in transport minister challenging Alappuzha collector's report in court was pointed out earlier. The party has the guts to say whatever is needed to be said publicly and what needs to told within LDF. The party will not shy away from making its points with clarity. The state secretary declined to share the views expressed by his party at the November 12 meeting of LDF. The Chief Minister has been entrusted with the final decision and he would take it at the right time, he said.
Mr Rajendran said that in a coalition, the ministers are decided by their parent parties. The change of ministers is also taken by the respective political parties. Instead of the party controlling the minster, if the minster starts controlling the party, then it would lead to the present experience, he said while replying to a question. On Benoy Viswam's public demand for transport minister Thomas Chandy's resignation, Mr Rajendran said the former was a member of the national executive of the party and he might not be aware of the decision taken at the LDF state committee on November 12.
