19 lakh houses to be built before 2019: AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu
Vijayawada: The Chief Minister Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu has stated that the TD will go for elections, after completing the construction of 19 lakh houses.
He informed the House that Rs 10,000 will be sanctioned per house, to carry out repairs. The irregularities in the construction of houses would be curbed, the CM assured the House.
The CM also said the dream of the BPL sections about having their own houses will be fulfilled by the Government.
Replying to the short discussions on Tuesday, in the Assembly, over the implementation of rural and urban housing schemes, the CM said that the State government would complete 19 lakh houses on a mission mode before the next general elections.
He also said around 17 lakh to 25 lakh house sites would be regularized and ‘pattas’ would be issued across the state. The CM said the State Government had taken the responsibility of fulfilling the common man’s dream about owning his own house.
He said that the Government has targeted construction of 13,66,557 houses in rural areas and 5,39,286 houses in urban areas by spending Rs 56,000 crore.
“We will go for the next election after completing all these houses. I want MLAs to place more focus on implementation of the housing scheme and meet beneficiaries at least once in month,” he said.
