Hyderabad: Salesmen pasted posters of camera advertisements on foot path wall

Hyderabad: Insensitive salesmen have pasted posters of camera advertisements on the foot path wall painted by a Telangana-based artist. Over three pamphlets were pasted during late hours and this was brought to the notice of the artist the next day.

The artist had to remove the pamphlets and redo those sections of the painting. One of the pamphlets was pasted on the wall painted by Neelima Mahanta of Delhi.

The pamphlets were removed and the portion was redone. Indiscriminate pasting of banners and posters in public places harms the image of Hyderabad city and also damages the environment. Most of these are pasted illegally, without taking permission. Though it is banned by law, GHMC has been unsuccessful in dealing with this issue.

The St+art HYD line-up features artist Artez and Nikola Mihajlovic from Serbia, Alber, Jean Luc Feugeas and Remed from France, Daan Botlek (the Netherlands), Nilesh, Neelim Mahanta and Daku from elsewhere in India and Dia Mehta Bhupal of Hyderabad along with 10 state artists.
