Mysuru: An engineering student, M.S. Varsha (19), won the Miss Mysuru contest organized by the Mysuru district administration jointly with the department of women and child welfare as part of Mysuru Dasara festivities. Puneeth won the Mr Mysuru title .
There were 25 contestants and Varsha, a student of GSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Mysuru was the lucky winner. An elated Varsha told Deccan Chronicle that she had earlier contested beauty contests at the college-level and this was the first time she was walking the ramp at a district-level event. Varsha is a resident of Kannagowdana Koppal in the city. Her father Satish is a businessman while mother is Pushpavathi, a homemaker. Mr Mysuru title winner Puneeth is a resident of Ramanuja Road in the city and has passed ITI.
