Thiruvananthapuram: The passengers of the Kochuveli Sriganga Nagar Express had a harrowing time on Saturday as the engine got detached from the bogies twice before reaching Kollam.

The first incident took place before it reached Chiryankeezhu after leaving Kochuveli at 3. 50 p.m. Though the engine was attached to the train again to resume the journey, the engine got detached for the second time before reaching Paravoor station. The separated bogies rolled back by 500 metres before halting. The engine was attached to the train again and the train reached Kollam at 6.15 p.m.- late by 1.15 hours.
