Hyderabad: New ways to check traffic violators
Hyderabad: Rachakonda traffic police have started a new initiative to ensure that commuters follow traffic rules while commuting on the city roads.
Deputy Commi-ssioner of Police (Traffic) Divya Charan Rao said, “Rather than imposing fines on traffic violators, we are enabling them to follow rules. If a rider is found driving without a helmet, we make the person buy a helmet. If the vehicle has no pollution check certificate, we help the rider get the pollution certificate. If the violator is found driving without a license, we help him/her book a slot online with the Road Transport Authority to obtain a license.”
IT and Municipal Administration Minister K. T. Rama Rao appreciated the move and commented on social media platform saying “Good move”.
