Dam fills up in Kerala, orange alert sounded

Kochi: The Thrissur district collector issued an orange alert for those living near Chalakkudy river as the water level in Kerala’s Sholayar dam crossed the 2,660-feet mark at 11 pm on Saturday.

According to officials, the dam had water up to 95.10 per cent of its total storage capacity at 7 pm on Satudray
