Chennai: A 15-year-old school student riding pillion with her neighbour died after another two-wheeler rammed their bike on Ennore -Tiruvottauiyur speedway Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as K.Gomathy, a resident of Kalaingar Nagar in Tiruvottiyur and a class 11 student of a private school in Vimco Nagar.
Police sources said on Friday when she was riding pillion with his neighbour Dinesh near KVK Kuppam, a speeding two-wheeler rammed into them and fled the spot.
Gomathy and Dinesh were taken to the Rajiv Gandhi government hospital where Gomathy succumbed to injuries.
The Tondiarpet police registered a case and began inquiries.
