Indo-Japan pact will benefit NBKR varsity
Nellore: Prime Meiden Ltd, an Indo-Japanese joint venture and subsidy of Tokyo based Meidensha Corporation has entered into a long term pact with NBKR Educational Institutes located at Vidya Nagar in Nellore district to provide hands on training to the students of the institute on Thursday.
Prime Meiden Ltd (PML) is one of the leading players in the field of Power Transformer having the modern and state-of-the-art factory for supply of EHV Power Transformer up to 765 kV located in Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Naidupeta, district Nellore.
As per the pact, the company would provide training for 75 engineering students, 60 from electrical and 15 from mechanical wings of engineering for 45 days at the college and one month at their factory every year. The best trainees will also get an opportunity to work in the firm.
According to the Correspondent of NBKR institutions Nedurumalli Ramkumar Reddy, Prime Meiden has chosen NBKR because of facilities such as labs and qualified faculty while reacting to a call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Japanese firms to transfer their skills and style of working to Indian students.
Directors of Prime Meiden and Meidensha Corporation have signed the agreement on behalf of the firm and exchanged them with Ramkumar Reddy. The Japanese team inspected all the departments of the College after the programme.
Prime Meiden team members Sastry, Vijayakumaran, Krishna, Abhijith Prakasm and NBKR Director P. Vijayakumar Reddy were present among others.
