Chandini Jain, pals had liquor at Hyderabad pub
Hyderabad: Cyberabad police investigating Chandini Jain’s murder have discovered that all the teenagers including Chandini Jain who were present at the hotel for an event had gone to a pub in Jubilee Hills on the night of September 2 and the pub had served them liquor. But they cannot take action against the pub as it falls under the jurisdiction of the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate. They have written to the Hyderabad Police.
While investigating the missing case of Chandini Jain filed on September 9 by the Miyapur police, it was found that around 52 students, all minors from different schools in the city and other cities of the country, had come together at Hotel Central Court in Lakdikapul. A student of Silver Oaks School had organised a mock summit in the hotel for the students. Thirteen rooms were booked in the hotel for the students. There were academic sessions in the mornings and entertainment in the evenings.
Police found that six students occupied each room. On September 1, the hotel supplied liquor to the students. When booking the rooms, the hotel did not verify the ages of the students.
“On the night of September 2, around 30 students from the group, including Chandini Jain, went to Tikky Shack Pub on Jubilee Hills Road, where they consumed liquor and partied till late at night,” said a police source.
The Hyderabad police said that renting rooms to minors without a guardian and without verifying ID proof is an offence, but the police can act if instructions are issued by the brass.
