Bengaluru: A report sent by Joint Director of the Land Records (JDLR) to the BBMP Commissioner has confirmed the encroachment by actor Darshan's house and properties under the Ideal Homes Layout and SS Hospital owned by Congress MLA Shamanur Shivashankarappa. Based on the request from the joint commissioner of Raja Rajeshwari Nagar zone, the BBMP and the JDLR carried out a survey to see if there were any encroachments.
The report dated 8th September 2016, says that Darshan's house had encroached 2 guntas of SWD while SS Hospitals owned by MLA Shamanur had trespassed over 22 guntas. The total encroachment done by Ideal Homes Layout, Darshan's house and SS Hospitals stands at 7.31 acres.
When DC spoke to Dr. B. Veerabhadrappa, joint commissioner of Raja Rajeshwari Nagar Zone BBMP, he maintained that he had not received the report and said, “The report has been sent to the head office. Owing to the bandh and the closure of the office for Bakri Id, we had not received it. We should receive it in a day or two.”
When asked about when the encroached properties of the heavy-weights would be demolished, Dr Veerabhadrappa said, “After receiving the report we will not blindly go in for demolition. We shall visit the encroached spot along with the storm water engineers and some others and then have an inspection. Future course of action will be based on the inspection.”
