Hyderabad: Ten police officers from Telangana have been awarded Indian Police Medals and two senior officers have been awarded the President’s Police Medal by the Ministry of Home Affairs, for meritorious service.
Among the 10 officers, is city cop, head constable N. Hanumanth Goud, serving in the crime wing of the Narsingi police. The recognition came to him after 26 years of service. He cracked various cases while serving in Rangareddy district and Rajendranagar police station.
Also from the city is Sub inspector G. Madhusudhan of the Charminar police who has spent decades in service will also receive a medal.
Senior IPS officer K Sreenivasa Reddy, Additional DGP, Operations, and Dr T Prabhakar Rao, IG of Police, Intelligence, will be decorated with the President’s Police Medal.
“I have served in all wings of the police, especially in anti-terror stream besides law and order. My senior officers have been supportive in all my actions. I dedicate the medal to IPS,” IGP Prabhakar Rao said.
