Kurnool: The Nandyal police arrested 15 interstate gamblers and seized Rs 22.45 lakh along with bikes, car and cell phones at NGOs colony of Nandyal in Kurnool on Wednesday.
Addressing the media persons, Nandyal DSP Chidananda Reddy said that a gang of 15 members from the neighboring districts of Kadapa, Anantapur and Kurnool assembled at Nandyal were said to be involved in playing cards. On receiving a tipoff that some unidentified persons are assembling at Gosala and playing cards.
Basing on the information, the cops raided the house at Gosala and found 15 persons playing cards. The cops seized Rs 22.45 lakhs along with 6 motorcycle, 1 car and 18 cell phones, the DSP stated.
A case was registered and the accused would be produced before the court.
