Kochi: Unprecedented floods following heavy rains in Kerala failed to deter the spirit of patriotism in the people of the state.

Kerala has been witnessing heavy downpour since August 8. 44 people have died so far. The state has been put on rain red alert on Wednesday after rains continued in the state.

Flight services from Cochin International Airport have also been suspended till 2 pm on Saturday August 18.

Over 15,000 people have been shifted to relief camps and the Army, the Navy and the National Disaster Relief Force is working on war footing to help people affected or stranded in the low-lying areas.
