Hyderabad: CBSE warns schools on bag weight
Hyderabad: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) once again asked all its affiliated schools to adhere to the provisions of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) and not to give any homework or school bag to students up to class II.
CBSE had issued similar notices in earlier in 2004 and 2016, but they appear to have fallen on deaf ears.
Attention has been once again drawn to the need for reducing the load on children of all classes in order to provide them adequate space and time for other activities to make learning an enjoyable process.
Mr K. Venkat, a member from Hyderabad Schools Parents Association said, “These kind of notices are limited only to papers. The implementation part lies with the schools about which we are doubtful. Even a LKG student now almost has 16 books. We can only hope for the better.”
