​Bengaluru students score well in IGCSE

Seven students from The International School Bangalore (TISB) and six from Greenwood High International secured the top grade in all exams.

Bengaluru: Tens of students from the city secured A* grades in all subjects in the International General Certificate of General Education (IGCSE) results, which were announced on Tuesday. The June series exams, held by the Cambridge International, are equivalent to class 10 exams conducted by other boards across the country.

Seven students from The International School Bangalore (TISB) and six from Greenwood High International secured the top grade in all exams. The toppers from TISB are Agastya Samay Rana, Rijul Raghu, Avi Jaiswal, Gautam Raj Kapoor, Oviya Santheepan, Sidharth Vanamali Duthaluru and Geetika Kumar.

While Sannivas Reddy Nallamanikalva of Greenwood High scored 100 on 100 in Additional Math, his schoolmates Arpit Bhate (95.56 %), Praneel Undavalli (94.25%), Adithya Ramji(94.11%), Mihir Singh(93.67 %) and Sadhika Vedurmudi (92.78 %) secured A* grade in all papers.

Cambridge qualification: The Cambridge Assessment International Education revealed that schools opting for their courses and exams have seen an 8 percent growth internationally as compared to June 2017. The officials also claimed that during the last academic year, the number of schools offering Cambridge programmes has seen a 6 per cent growth.
