ALAPPUZHA: Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has issued an order shelving the appointment of a non-Brahmin assistant priest at the Chettikulangara temple. The TDB instead asked him to continue at Puthiyidam temple Kayamkulam.
TDB's K. Raghavan said the order was after talking to all parties including Sudhikumar, the victim of caste discrimination.
"For TDB, the faith matters. I rang up Sudhikumar, and he had no resentment. Let’s not make it a controversy," he said.
Meanwhile, Mr Sudhikumar told DC that he was called up by Assistant Commissioner (TDB) on Monday and asked him to continue at the current temple.
