BENGALURU: After a hue and cry by the public on the authenticity of the alignment of storm water drains and the purpose of the demolition drive taken up by the BBMP, the civic body updated the list of encroachers and sketches of the drains on Saturday.
The BBMP’s latest list identifies 83 encroachments and the details have been uploaded on www.bbmp.gov.in. It contains details of encroachments in East, West, South, Rajarajeshwarinagar, Yelahanka, Mahadevapura and Dasarahalli zones.
BBMP Commissioner N. Manjunath Prasad urged the residents to clear the encroachments on their own and to cooperate with the BBMP.
After a break over the weekend and for the Independence Day, the BBMP will on Tuesday resume the demolition drive in Bagalagunte, Abbigere and Halagevaderahalli in Dasarahalli zone.
Bellandur, Ambalipura, B. Narayanapura, Byrati, Challakere, Nagasandra, Bhattarahalli, Bhoganahalli, Byrasandra, Channasandra, Challaghatta, Chikkanahalli, Devasandra, Hagadur, Horamavu Agrahara and Kaggadasanapalya are some of the areas in Eastern parts of the city.
