Hyderabad policemen hurt as jeep rams tree

The sub-inspector received injuries on his face as he was sitting in the front seat.

Hyderabad: A sub-inspector, constable and a driver sustained injuries when the jeep they were travelling in rammed into a tree after one of the tyres burst on the outskirts of Jannaram mandal of Mancherial on Saturday.

The men, identified as Md Tahseenuddin, sub-inspector of Jannaram police station, constable Sheshuram, and driver Srinivas sustained minor injuries. The accident occurred when the three police personnel were returning to Jannaram from Luxettipet after a court hearing, the police said, adding that their medical condition is said to be stable.

“The sub-inspector received injuries on his face as he was sitting in the front seat. The vehicle’s tyre blew up upon reaching a deer park before entering Jannaram. The three, were rushed to a hospital in Jannaram and were later shifted to a private hospital in Karimnagar town for a better treatment” officials from Mancherial Police said.
