Panel to look into Gandhi Hospital roach incident

The doctors had clicked photos of the cockroach to show it to the management.

Hyderabad: A committee has been formed by the Gandhi Hospital management following complaints raised by junior doctors on a cockroach that was found in the food served at the doctors canteen.

The doctors had clicked photos of the cockroach to show it to the management.

Dr. Shravan Kumar, hospital superintendent said, “On receiving the complaint we took immediate action. The canteen was shut.

“A committee has been formed and once the enquiry report is put forward we will take a decision if we will like to continue with the same contractor or not.”

Although this comes as a momentary relief to the doctors, they want regular inspections to be carried after the canteen reopens.
