MLA's abuse report taken to Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao
Hyderabad: TRS Jangoan MLA Mutireddy Yadagiri Reddy allegedly used filthy language against the collector, joint collector, and district revenue officer — all women — at an official meet.
A highly placed source said, “The first-time TRS MLA, who also owns function halls and hotels, wanted the collector’s office to change the land use of six acres of Shikam land to Ayan land (for commercial purpose). If this were done, the value of the surrounding land, owned by the MLA would increase. A report about him using foul, unparliamentary language, banging furniture and threatening officers to make them change reports overnight has been taken to the CM.”
“The MLA is interested in real estate. Most of the proposals made by the MLA are for personal gain. There are allegations that he has grabbed universities, temple land, and other Shikam land too. The Chief Minister has berated him twice. He wants to run a parallel administration,” he said.
On Thursday, the wives of army and naval personnel staged a protest outside the Jangaon MLA’s house, accusing him of duping them. The MLA had sold 120 plots at Ammuguda, Sainikpuri, 15 years ago, claiming that the land layout had been approved by the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority. When the buyers tried to get permission to build their homes on their purchased plots, they were told by municipal officials that no permission can be given, as the land is the subject of a court case. Several calls made by this reporter to Mutireddy Yadagiri Reddy went unanswered.
