Maulana Azad National Urdu University's notices faulted
Hyderabad: The left wing All India Students Association on Tuesday alleged that three of the seven students who were issued a showcause notice last week by the Maulana Azad National Urdu University were not present during the protests against water shortage in the hostels.
This was one of the seven counts that the university had mentioned in the notices; the others included causing emotional and physical stress to government workers and misbehaving with teachers. Mohit Pandey, AISA member from JNU, New Delhi, said the three students, Mohammad Usman, Abdul Basit and S. Bavajan, did not participate in the protests. “The research guide of one of the students will testify that he was with the student on the day of protests. Bavajan was not in the city,” he said.
