Stalin sending feelers to BJP too, claims Tamilisai

Nonetheless, Dr Tamilisai indicated that Stalin’s attempt to build a relationship with BJP would not succeed.

Thoothukudi: After his meeting with Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao who is attempting to forge a ‘federal front’ of non-BJP, non-Congress parties, the DMK president M K Stalin on Tuesday is purportedly sending feelers to explore the chance for any DMK-BJP ties.

Making this claim at a press conference here, the BJP’s Tamil Nadu president, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, cynically commented that Stalin was playing”triple action” role, by simultaneously being online with Rahul Gandhi on the one side, Chandrasekhar Rao on the other and opening up a third angle of sending feelers to the BJP too. She, however, did not disclose the identity of the mediators.

Nonetheless, Dr Tamilisai indicated that Stalin’s attempt to build a relationship with BJP would not succeed.”Gripped by fear of defeat, Stalin is in a confused state about his future political move after the results are out on May 23,” she remarked.

“Being the sole leader to have taken a wrong decision of proposing Rahul Gandhi for the Prime Minister’s post, the DMK president is now engaged with Chandrasekhar Rao,” added the BJP state president, who pointed out Stalin’s response to the new developments would be known after May 23.

“This attitude of Stalin, however, is not

surprising as it is the usual political tactic of the DMK,” commented the State food supplies and consumer protection minister, R Kamaraj, who was with the BJP state president at the press meet.
