Hyderabad: Traffic volunteers save 3 lives

Hyderabad: Two traffic volunteers who have been extending their services for the regulation of traffic under Cyberabad Commissionerate limits came to the rescue of three accident victims.

At Nallagandla flyover in Serilingampally, a speeding bike hit a pedestrian while he was crossing the road. Traffic volunteer Vidyasagar Jagadeeshan, who was on his way back home from work at the time, took notice of the injured man, provided him first-aid, and alerted the traffic police.

In the second accident that took place in Mokila village, Shankarpally, two bikes collided head-on, causing severe bleeding injuries to both riders. Traffic volunteer C Rajashekar, who was on traffic regulation duty in Mokila at the time, rushed to the victims, provided them basic life support, and then alerted the traffic police.

The injured riders were first taken to a private hospital for treatment and later admitted to Gandhi Hospital as per the doctors’ advise.

According to sources, Vidyasagar was a bank manager while Rajashekar worked as a creative head at a start-up.
