Hyderabad: An 18-month-old boy was electrocuted while playing outside his house in Tarigoppula, Vikrabad. According to Dharur police, the boy came in contact with a wire that were being used to supply electricity to a water pump.
The boy, identified as B. Virat, was the child of the B. Raju and Swapna, residents of Tarigoppula, Dharur mandal. The boy’s father is an agriculturist while his mother is a homemaker.
On Tuesday morning, Mr Raju had left for the fields while Ms Swapna was busy with household work. Virat, who was playing outside their house at the time, suddenly screamed. Ms Swapna rushed outside only to find him lying in an unconscious state. With the assistance of neighbours, Virat was rushed to a nearby hospital almost immediately. He was declared dead before admission, said the police.
Based on the complaint filed by Mr Raju, a case of suspicious death was registered for the probe and Virat’s body was handed over to his family after its autopsy at the government hospital in Vikrabad.
