Hyderabad: Four students from Andhra Pradesh scored the ‘perfect 100’ and secured places in the top 10 ranks along with two students from Telangana state in the open category for the Joint Entrance Examination of Paper 2.

The test is used for entry into Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning courses.

The JEE is held twice a year to reduce the stress on students and give them a chance to improve their performance. For candidates who appeared in January and April, the higher of the two scores is taken into consideration. Out of 61,510 candidates who took both the tests, 27,624 improved their performance. The ranks of the candidates were decided taking into consideration the higher of the two NTA scores. The first examination was conducted on January 8 which saw 1,45,386 candidates taking the test. The second examination was conducted on April 7, 2019 and 1,44,032 took the test.

The four students are Gollapudi N. Lakshmi Narayana, Korapati Nikhil Ratna, Sykam Ritesh Reddy and Gudla Raghunandan Reddy.

They scored 100 in the JEE Mains in the January and April sessions from Andhra Pradesh.

From Telangana, Rahul Reddy secured the all-India fifth rank in the open category and was the topper from the state.

A. Abhijith Reddy was ranked ninth nationwide, and stood second in the state. Both students are from the Vedavyas campus of Chaina, the name given to the combined institution of the Chaitanya and Narayana groups.
