Hyderabad: A video footage showing two linemen at the Yapral sub-station in an inebriated state misbehaving with a complainant on May 13 has gone viral on social media.
Kamarbasti resident K. Srinivas had gone to the sub-station seeking restoration of power, which had been disrupted after a thunderstorm the previous day.
Mr Srinivas said, “For over two days, the linemen have been saying that power will be restored but they did not turn up in the locality.
On Sunday, when I went to the sub-station, I found Mr Koti drunk along with another colleague. Though he took my complaint, both of them responded in filthy language when I asked when they would visit the site. They also dared me to complain to minister K.T. Rama Rao.”
Residents said power was restored on Monday morning, following complaints made to the head office. Disciplinary action is yet to be taken on two linemen.
