Lucknow: An inter-religious affair that led to communal clashes in Nandrauli village in Sambhal district, is now leading to migration of Muslim families from the village.
The police admit to the fact that several families have left the village but refuse to term it as an exodus.
SP Ravi Singh said, “These people have not left permanently. They have gone to their relative’s houses and will return as soon as the situation normalises”.
Tension escalated in the village on May 10 when a man eloped with a married woman belonging to another faith.
