Hyderabad: The TS government is organising an emergency workshop on the ransomware threat, to create awareness among government departments and computer operators on the possibilities of cyber attacks and prevention measures.
The workshop would be held on Monday under the supervision of the Telangana Academy and Skill Knowledge (TASK) at SONET Hall, S.V. Bhavan, in the premises of Masab Tank Polytechnic College. An official from the IT department said all the government officials, computer operators and data entry operators dealing with government websites would attend the workshop. “The one day workshop will have practical training to handle any ransomware and similar viruses,” the official said.
