Hyderabad: In a joint operation Rajendra Nagar zone police along with zonal assistant food controller and food safety officers on Saturday conducted surprise raids on several food establishments in Kattedan area.
Based on food safety violations about the use of substandard ingredients and synthetic food colours in various food items and non-compliance with food safety officials collected 17 suspected adulterated food samples out of 24 food companies and also found evidence of unhygienic and poor sanitation conditions at the manufacturing units of these companies.
Upon which, issued notices under Schedule-4 of FSSA and GHMC Act to the concerned companies.
Rajendrangar police registered cases against Rupani SKR food products for adulteration of food and selling of noxious food U/sec. 272, 273 IPC. Further, after receiving the sample test reports from the food safety officers action will be taken on the violators.
