Two students fail to clear Inter exams, end life

Police said that the two students were depressed after failing in the Intermedieate exams, results of which were declared on April 12.

Visakhapatnam: Two students committed suicide in two separate incidents in Vizag district after failing in Intermediate examinations.

In the first instance, P. Vijay, an 18-year-old student, son of small trader hanged himself from a tree near Baligattam area under Narsipatnam Town police station limits after failing in one subject of Intermediate Second year exams. The state board declared the results on April 12.

Vijay was a student of MPC stream of a private junior college and a resident of Kothaveedhi area in Narsipatnam. He had gone missing from April 12, was found hanging from a tree on Saturday.

The police said that Vijay has informed his parents that he was going to town to check his results on April 12 and didn’t return home. The police shifted the body to government hospital for post-mortem after registered a case under Section 174 of CrPC.

In another incident, an 18-year-old S. Suresh Kumar committed suicide by hanging in his room at Venkannapalem area under Chodavaram police station limits in Vizag district.

Police said that Suresh failed in three subjects in Intermediate second-year examinations. Police said that Suresh was depressed since the results were declared and had stopped speaking to anyone. Suresh took the extreme step in the wee hours on Saturday. A case was registered.
