Sarvey Satyanarayana injures revenue inspector's nose

The former minister created a ruckus on the dais and abused the government.

Hyderabad: The Ambedkar Jayanti programme organised by the Medchal Malkajgiri district administration at Kukatpally turned ugly, when former minister Sarvey Satyanarayana abused the district collector who stopped him from delivering political speeches and criticising the government at the programme on Saturday.

The members of the Dist-rict Officers Association also demanded action against the minister for his rude behaviour to the officials at the programme.

At the dais, along with the district collector, Malkajgiri MP Mallareddy, Kukatpally MLA M.V. Krishna Rao and other public representatives and officials were present.

While the programme was going on, Mr Satyana-rayana entered the premises and when the cops requ-ested his followers not to board the dais, they created a ruckus. “After he boarded the dais, the collector who was presiding the function welcomed the former minister. Later aft-er completing his speech, the collector handed over the mike to MLA Krishna Rao. Mr Satyanarayana then started an argument with the collector and created a nuisance on the dais. After that he took the mike and addressed the ga-thering and during the speech, he suddenly started abusing the present government. Kukatpally MLA immediately objected and informed him that this was an official programme and he could not give political speeches and also could not abuse the collector.

“But Sarvey Satyanara-yana turned behind and pointed his finger towards the collector and said that the next government wou-ld be of his party and he would see the end of collector. The local tahsildar and revenue inspector also objected by saying he could not behave in such a manner with the collector, but Sarvey Satyanarayana in a rash manner manhandled revenue inspector Ashwin Kumar, injuring his nose,” stated the tahsildar in the complaint.

He further added that the former minister had obstructed the official programme, due to which programme could not be conducted. The case is under investigation.
