Telangana: No bias, ACJ Ramesh Ranganathan promises advocates
Hyderabad: Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan of the Hyderabad High Court on Friday assured advocates that he would make efforts to give an opportunity to those representing various sections while recommending names from the Bar for appointment as High Court judges.
He was addressing the advocates and judicial officers as the chief guest at a function to celebrate the 126th birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar at the Advocates’ Association Hall in the High Court.
Justice Ranganathan stressed the need to give additional security and assistance to people who face social backwardness in view of social discrimination prevailing in society.
Recalling the services of Babasahib Ambedkar towards development of the society, he said that the author of India’s Constitution took particular care for the uplift of weaker sections and providing equal rights for women.
He opined that there would be better results if the young lawyers would work sincerely in their profession.
