Tenders invited for cleaning Hussainsagar
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has sent a global invitation requesting proposals to design, procure and implement proven technological intervention to arrest odour nuisance, algal blooms and to improve the water quality in Hussainsagar.
In the pre-bid meeting, HMDA Commissioner T. Chiranjeevulu explained about the current status of Hussainsagar and facilities created under Hussainsagar Lake Catchment Area Improvement Project.
As many as 12 agencies had participated in the pre-bid meeting and requested for extension of time to submit the proposals for 15 days more.
Time has been extended up to March 29 in view of the urgency and importance of the activity.
It was informed that the successful agency shall commence the work immediately after getting letter of acceptance and the process of treatment shall be completed and odour nuisance will be arrested from the 16th day from the period of intervention for up to six months to one year. The technical proposals of all the agencies will be scrutinised by the Committee, comprising experts from EPTRI, TSPCB and the NIAB.
