BJP's loss in UP-Bihar bypolls kindles Telugu Desam's hopes
Vijayawada: The TD coordination committee discussed on the UP-Bihar by-elections results and observed the results were not in favour of the BJP, in view of the tiff between TD-BJP in the state. While analysing the results, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu made crucial comments, that politics are dynamically changing and expressed hope of TD playing key role in future in the country.
He also said he didn't have any personal grudge with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said even if there was difference of opinions when Modi and he were the Chief Minister, there is no necessity to mention about it now. The meeting held in the CM's residence on Wednesday was attended by all the MLAs and MLCs. In this meeting, the main topic for discussion had been the UP-Bihar by-election results, in particular the BJP which had a stronghold in Ghorakpur and Purpur losing in the by-elections was discussed, and analysed the reasons for falling back.
The CM had inquired on the round wise result trend. He said if the work performance isn't as expected or failed in fulfilling the commitments, the results will be as seen, Mr Naidu said. In fact, in 2019 elections, if the BJP does gain full majority, TD can play crucial role at the Centre. With the UP-Bihar bypoll results against the BJP, TD gained hope.
